Favorite Vegan Spots in NYC

Here are some of my favorite restaurants, food carts, etc. around New York City. Disclaimer that they are all plant-based following my diet; if interested click here to learn more about the impact of veganism.

  • AVANT GARDEN - For a nice night out with a cozy, down-to-earth experience. Ever changing menu. Great pasta & wine nights on Wednesdays.

  • VEGAN’S CHOICE - Apartment kitchen in Crown Heights. Delivery every night and walk-in’s on Saturday. Menu is always changing and way too good.

  • BUDDHA BODHI - Kosher, vegan and traditional Chinatown eats.

  • NYC DOSAS - Food cart in Washington Square Park. Real food.

  • BLOSSOM DU JOUR - The quicker sister to Blossom. Just as good, less expensive, and super friendly.

  • BUNNA CAFE - Ethiopean spot between E. Williamsburg and Bushwick. Wholesome.

  • Screamer’s Pizza - Want a vegan New York slice?

  • TAIM - Few locations for this vegetarian falafel joint. Only downside is a slightly higher price compared to a true hole-in-the-wall, but man it’s good.

  • ORCHARD GROCER - Amazing breakfast sandwiches and extensive vegan groceries packed in a small little bodega.

  • TOADSTYLE - If you need something greasy and full of attitude.

  • BY CHLOE - American food and sweets. Trendy, fun atmosphere.

  • TOMPKINS SQUARE BAGELS - Most bagel spots are solid and have tofu cream cheese as an option. One of many that are notoriously good.

  • MARTY'S V BURGER - Holy f*ck literally McDonald’s and hot wings without the hurt.

  • LADYBIRD - Great latenight menu. The slightly more casual sister to Avant Garden.

  • GREEDI VEGAN - Real genuine spot at Bedford and Atlantic in Brooklyn. Mainly serve pre-made protein like Gardein and the Impossible Burger, but solid none the less.

  • BEYOND SUSHI - Awesome quick vegan sushi spot. Love seeing plant-based fast casual options popping up.

  • THE CINNAMON SNAIL - Sandwhiches, burgers, and pastries at The Pennsy Food Hall.

  • PITA PALACE - Solid, and I mean solid middle eastern food if you are in Brooklyn.
